TEACHER SHORTAGE Program

Teaching Every Student, Filling Every Gap

School districts across the country are facing an unprecedented teacher shortage, leaving many classrooms empty or filled with underqualified staff. This crisis threatens to undermine student learning and success. However, Silicon Valley High School offers a quick, affordable solution to make sure your students receive a quality education, no matter the staffing challenges you face.

Our Teacher Shortage Program provides your school with a turnkey solution for subjects where you are unable to hire a credentialed teacher. You provide a supervisor to monitor a classroom of students. We provide the specialized curriculum, online learning platform, and expert instruction to fill the gap.

Quick, Effective Solution for your School

  • Curriculum of more than 60 online video-based, self-paced, teacher-supported courses at $125/each.
  • You provide a classroom supervisor–we provide them with a dashboard to track student progress.
  • Support from licensed, experienced teachers.
  • Expert teachers provide office hours via video conference.
  • Structured courses that meet state standards.
  • Accredited transcripts accepted by colleges/universities.
  • Affordable tutoring from credentialed teachers.

Filling Gaps in Math, Science, Languages & Other Subjects

If you’re struggling to recruit teachers, you’re not alone. According to the National Education Association, job openings started to outpace hires in late 2017, and the gap has been getting wider ever since. More than 200,000 classrooms across the US are left without qualified teachers today. The most hard hit subjects are math, science and languages.

How It Works

  • You have students, a classroom and you need to recruit a supervisor to monitor the students and track their progress.
  • You contact us here at SVHS and let us know you’re interested in our Teacher Shortage Program.
  • Our specialists step you through the process of getting your supervisor up to speed and enrolling your students into our online courses.
  • You provide us with a purchased order. The price is $125 per student per course.
  • Courses are graded and supported by our credentialed teachers.
  • SVHS customer service agents (mostly credentialed teachers) are available to chat online round the clock to handle technical issues, and other questions about the course.
  • Your supervisor tracks student progress through a dashboard showing overall progress for each student and enabling the supervisor to drill down to view the student activity at a granular level.
  • As an accredited school, Silicon Valley High School is the school of record, and will provide you and your students with an official transcript once the course is completed.

Tutoring From Credentialed Teachers

Our credentialed, experienced teachers are available for tutoring online at affordable rates.

  • You can order one-on-one student tutoring at $35 for a 30-minute videoconference session.
  • Your supervising teacher and all the student can schedule a 50-minute office hours session with our teacher, also via video conference–at a cost of $125.
